Additive Manufacturing | Modular Nesting Architecture

The WoodStone Bird Feeder is manufactured using precision additive fabrication to deliver lightweight durability, modular customization, and consistent repeatability. Designed for covered outdoor environments, each unit is produced to order in our workshop using composite plant-based PLA polymer materials.

Unlike traditional wood feeders, this system eliminates bulk stock waste and allows for panel-level customization and replacement.

Materials

Wood + PLA* Infusions: Black Walnut, Rosewood, Roasted Cedar, Roasted Maple, Smoked Birch, and White Oak
Stone + PLA* Infusions: Marble, and Red Granite

*PLA - A plant-based composite polymer commonly made from renewable fermented plant starches, like corn, cassava, sugarcane, or sugar beet pulp.

WoodPLA is able to be stained, sanded, and finished. It looks and feels like an organic product due to the high particulate mass of organic compound in the material blends.

Sustainable disposal at end of life:

The various forms of PLA can be recycled, high-temp composted, and even incinerated.
